Eric was born in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania in 1977 and currently lives north of the city. In the peace of one of the larger tracts of undeveloped land in his area he paints, writes and enjoys life surrounded by nature.
As a high school student Eric studied the rudiments of drawing, color and design. Upon graduation he pursued his second passion, history, earning both his B.A. and M.A. in history. While in graduate school, Eric began his work in the publication side of the profession.
This experience resulted in the publication of his first book in 2002. Eric continues to work in historical publication as a member of the staff at The Center For Northern Appalachian Studies at Saint Vincent College.
Throughout Eric’s college years he continued to hone his skills as an artist. During this phase in his development he shifted his primary medium to paint.
Though he continues to work with pencil and pen and ink, Eric puts most of his effort into his paintings. Eric produces between forty and eighty pieces each year. He enjoys working in different styles though his own technique can be seen in every piece.
Eric hopes one day he can dedicate himself fully to his work as an artist.
